1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which the browser keeps on your device so the site can remember information between visits.

Vita Sustena currently does not set HTTP cookies in the application. Session and account data needed to keep you signed in are stored in the browser’s local storage (on the website) or in the device’s secure store (in the mobile app).

2. Why we use cookies

We use local storage (and, on mobile, secure storage) only so the service can function:

Keep you signed in after you log in
Send authenticated requests to the API
Remember the email associated with your session in the interface

These are strictly necessary for the service you request. We do not use them for advertising.

3. Types of cookies used

First-party storage used by Vita Sustena:

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or social-media cookies.

4. How you manage cookies

You can control this data as follows:

Sign out of Vita Sustena to remove the stored token and email from the app
In the browser: clear cookies and site data for vitasustena.com (this also clears local storage)
On mobile: sign out, or clear app data in the device settings

If you remove this storage, you will need to sign in again to use your account.

5. Third-party cookies

The Vita Sustena website does not embed third-party advertising or analytics scripts that set cookies in your browser.

Some features run on our servers (for example AI menu generation and voice transcription via OpenAI). OpenAI processes that data under our instructions and its own policy. It does not place advertising cookies on our site through this application.

6. IP anonymisation

When technical logs are kept (for security and to operate the service), IP addresses are anonymised where we store them for analytics-style use. We do not use IP addresses to build advertising profiles.

7. We do not sell data

We do not sell or rent your personal data, cookies, or local-storage identifiers to third parties for advertising.

8. Your rights

You have the rights described in our Privacy Policy, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with an EU supervisory authority (GDPR Art. 77).

9. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy if we start using additional cookies or similar technologies. The current version will always be available on this page. Material changes will be notified where required.
